At the core of My Rose Journal is the event management process.  By managing events you can create a searchable history for all of your rose management activity.

Events can be recorded as individual events of activities that you have performed or as repeating scheduled events.  When you enter an event it can be applied to all of your roses or to specific roses.  By applying events to specific roses you will be building a personal history for each rose that you care for.

When you login to your rose journal you will see your calendar and the events that have been performed or need to be performed.  As you perform events you can change their status from incomplete to complete and apply notes to the events.

Step one for new users should be to "Add A Rose" to your rose list.  As you add a new rose you will have the opportunity to add event categories and rose categories.  These categories will help organize your roses and maintenance activity.  Once the rose is added to your journal you can add images to the rose and edit the rose details as needed.

Now when you add an event you will be able to apply the event to your rose and start keeping a journal of the roses growth and maintenance activity.

At any time after you have added a rose to your journal you will be able to email that rose to others with the "Send A Rose" link.  You can also get a hyper link for public use from the edit roses page that will let you securely add links to websites or forums to share your roses.

You follow the same basic steps to maintain a rose wish list.  When you add a rose to your wish list you can later copy it to your active rose list if you acquire the rose.

At any time you can get general statistics about your roses by clicking on the "Statistics" link.  Here you will get a count of the roses you have the total cost of those roses, number of pending events you have, number of completed events and more...

Rose Albums can be created as well.  These are picture albums that are created for the purpose of sharing your roses with others.  When you send a link to one of your roses or rose albums the receiver can view your roses as a slideshow using a flash player or as static images with your notes applied.

My Rose Journal members can participate in rose surveys that allow members to document their experience with specific roses and view other members experiences of specific roses.
